Polish anti-corruption Police headed the Warsaw headquarters of commercial broadcaster Polsat on Thursday. The investigation is part of a wider investigation into the licensing of sports rights by public broadcaster TVP.  A spokesperson for the prosecutor’s office said the ongoing investigation related to the sublicensing of sport to Polsat.  It’s believed that the CBA is focussing on football matches featuring the Polish national team between 2018 and 2021, before TVP’s current management were installed.  There is also interest in Champions League soccer and the Polish national volleyball team matches. The question is whether TVP and its officials somehow lost out as a result of the deal.  Speaking to Onet, a Polsat spokesperson said the broadcaster was not previously aware of the prosecutor’s interest and had it been contacted would have handed over any paperwork required.
