RTL Group’s adtech business, smartclip, and M6 Publicité, the advertising sales house of Groupe M6, have formed a significant strategic technology partnership. This collaboration will see smartclip’s advanced adtech solutions progressively integrated into M6 Publicité’s existing infrastructure.

This integration directly supports Groupe M6’s ambitious goal: tripling its streaming revenue to €200 million by 2028. For smartclip, this partnership represents a major accomplishment, solidifying its position as a leading adtech partner for broadcasters throughout Europe and strengthening its local expertise.

M6 Publicité gains access to a platform specifically designed to meet the requirements of European broadcasters. This facilitates close collaboration with smartclip, allowing for the joint setting of adtech priorities and the acceleration of innovation. This unified technology setup encompasses streaming and addressable TV, programmatic advertising, and real-time, cross-media measurement reporting via the integrated user interface provided by Realytics, a French adtech company and a smartclip subsidiary.

“We look forward to working with smartclip to enhance our ad capabilities, deliver innovative solutions to our clients and contribute to creating a European adtech champion. Together, we will explore winning strategies that combine the power of traditional broadcasting with the precision of digital marketing,” said Hortense Thomine-Desmazures, Managing Director of M6 Publicité.

Thomas Servatius, Co-CEO of smartclip, added: “Our partnership with Groupe M6 marks a pivotal step in our commitment to the French TV industry. With a dedicated local team, we are ready to deliver tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of M6 Publicité and the broader market. This collaboration reinforces our dedication to empowering local broadcasters, connected TV providers, and telecommunication companies with the most innovative adtech solutions designed to enhance control, drive efficiency, and unlock new revenue opportunities.”
