Tascam has unveiled the IF-ST2110 Expansion card for its acclaimed Sonicview 16XP/24XP Digital Recording & Mixing Consoles. This addition brings full support for SMPTE ST 2110 AV Networks, significantly enhancing the capabilities of the already versatile consoles.

The Sonicview series is known for its user-friendly experience, low latency, and high audio quality, making it a popular choice for live broadcasts, concerts, studio production, and OB trucks. The IF-ST2110 card offers a cost-effective path to IP-based connectivity, future-proofing operations. The series, including the new expansion card, recently won a 2024 Inter BEE Grand Prix award.

The launch of the IF-ST2110 card coincides with the release of Sonicview V2.0.0 firmware. This update includes a new Auto Mixer with Priority and Weight functions for improved gain control in multi-speaker scenarios. Support for Ember+ and SNMP protocols enhances network control and monitoring. The expansion card itself offers 64 input/output audio channels, network redundancy (SMPTE ST 2022-7), and compatibility with NMOS, AES67, and SAP protocols.

A WebUI App allows for convenient configuration via the control port. The firmware update also facilitates key third-party integrations and introduces new controls, further enhancing broadcast workflow flexibility.
