In a remarkable achievement, TF1+ has solidified its position as the leading free streaming platform in France, just one year after its launch. This success is detailed in the broadcaster’s annual report, showcasing impressive growth and exceeding initial expectations.
Assisted awareness now stands at a significant 78%, up from 73% at its February 2024 launch. For 58% of households with a connected TV, TF1+ is the go-to channel, exceeding its target of 55% for end-of-year 2024. This strong market penetration demonstrates the platform's broad appeal.
The platform’s impressive growth is further highlighted by its substantial content library. Currently boasting 30,000 hours of programming, including aggregated content from partners like Arte, Deezer, L’Equipe, Le Figaro.TV, and A+E Networks, it’s doubled its initial offering of 15,000 hours. This diverse content strategy contributes to its significant viewership.
TF1+ attracted an average of 33 million monthly streamers in 2024, peaking at 35 million. The sheer volume of viewing is staggering: a total of 1.2 billion hours were viewed on the platform in 2024—one and a half times that of its nearest competitor. This underlines TF1+'s dominance in the French streaming market.
