Conestoga College, located in Ontario, Canada, has successfully launched CCDTV - Conestoga College Digital Television, its official broadcasting channel. The college leveraged Cloud Video Kit, a video processing, management, and distribution solution from Insys Video Technologies, to power this new initiative.

CCDTV serves as the primary gateway to Conestoga's digital content, offering a 24/7 broadcast of diverse programming, including student-produced features and shows. Prior to this, the college relied on Livestream to highlight its educational programs and attract prospective students. However, as the popularity of their service surged, Conestoga encountered challenges with scalability and the desire to establish a continuous 24/7 live channel accessible both online and on-campus TVs.

The transition to Cloud Video Kit effectively addressed these hurdles, providing a flexible video toolkit capable of handling the increasing demands. This solution not only streams live broadcasts through a customized video player on their website and on-campus TVs but also offers insightful analytics to monitor viewership data, such as viewer behavior, devices, and locations.

"We were incredibly pleased with our first event on CCDTV, which reached over 150,000 viewers globally," remarked Bruno Cortez Sibella, Events and Media Production Manager at Conestoga College. "Insys VT provided us with a seamless streaming experience that was crucial to our success. We are looking forward to expanding our channel and continuing to offer high-quality digital content with their reliable support."

Dawid Górniak, Product Manager at Insys VT, expressed his satisfaction, saying, "Seeing CCDTV not only launch, but also successfully engage such a large audience right from the start has been incredibly rewarding. By leveraging Amazon CloudFront CDN, Conestoga College can easily scale and manage its 24/7 live channel as demand grows. I’m excited to see our presence expanding in Canada with yet another successful deployment."
