Vodafone Deutschland's 11 million cable customers will continue to enjoy access to RTL Deutschland's streaming and TV services. The two companies have renewed their partnership, which is set to expand in the future. The agreement encompasses the RTL+ streaming app and nine free-TV and four pay-TV channels distributed by Vodafone. These include RTL, VOX, Nitro, ntv, Super RTL, RTLup, RTLzwei, VOXup, and Toggo plus, as well as the pay-TV channels RTL Crime, RTL Living, GEO Television, and the VOD service GEO WILD.
"We are delighted to continue our long-standing collaboration with RTL Deutschland. It's a win-win situation for both sides: our TV customers will continue to have access to RTL's attractive entertainment offerings. And they benefit from cloud-based recording options and other add-on features on GigaTV. At the same time, RTL can utilize access to millions of cable households and develop new TV offerings with us," stated Marc Albers, acting Head of Residential Customers at Vodafone.
Andre Prahl, Chief Distribution Officer at RTL Deutschland, echoed the sentiment: "We are delighted to further expand and extend our good partnership with Vodafone. The comprehensive agreement secures Vodafone customers access to RTL Deutschland's wide range of content and popular brands. At the same time, the agreement is an important step towards expanding the reach of our streaming service RTL+ while at the same time securing the linear distribution of our TV channels. Together with Vodafone, we will continue to develop new TV offerings and products for the benefit of users."
