«Public Television of Russia (OTR)» is a Russian federal television channel that began broadcasting on May 19, 2013.
The channel positions itself as a platform for discussing current issues of society, as well as a means of open and direct communication between the authorities and citizens of Russia.
OTR strives to actively interact with its audience, so broadcasts are mainly live. Many programs are created with the participation of non-professional «activist» correspondents. OTR prioritizes programs in which different national, social, religious, and subcultural groups of society engage in constructive dialogue with each other.
