Austrian telecommunications provider LIWEST has extended its long-term partnership with Ocilion. This agreement ensures the continued delivery of its Next TV IPTV service. LIWEST offers television via the internet and relies on Ocilion’s IPTV services. “LIWEST customers will continue to be offered a modern and versatile TV experience in the future. Thanks to the continuous development of Next TV, we have always been able to offer new and innovative services,” said Stefan Gintenreiter, Managing Director of LIWEST.
The IPTV solution allows live programmes to be paused, rewound or restarted. A 7-day replay function, the online recorder and the availability of extensive media libraries enable time-shifted and on-demand television. Next TV can be watched on TV sets, via its own app on mobile devices and tablets as well as in the web browser.
Ocilion Managing Director Hans Kühberger said: “It is a strong sign and underlines the quality of our IPTV solution and the accompanying services that LIWEST, a real innovation company, is extending and affirming the existing cooperation. With Next TV, LIWEST customers have a future-proof TV product ‘Made in Austria’ with maximum flexibility and a great deal of innovative strength.”
Ocilion was founded in 2004 and provides network operators in German-speaking countries with a customised end-to-end IPTV system including 4K set-top boxes, apps, an integrated video library and extensive TV channel rights. Almost 100 network operators are using Ocilion’s IPTV platform for their own TV service.
