Talk show host Drew Barrymore received a vibrant birthday present: her own Pantone color. “Drew Barrymore Yellow” was revealed on “The Drew Barrymore Show” on Friday, February 21, 2025, a day before her 50th birthday.

Pantone describes the color as a “warm and soft golden yellow,” evoking a “welcoming space.” Barrymore’s fondness for yellow is evident in her show’s graphics and set design, although some shades used differ slightly from the new Pantone creation. Pantone, also known as “PMS,” is a renowned color-matching system ensuring color consistency across various media.

The company sells digital and printed color collections. Colors typically have a number and a name (e.g., “Pantone Blue”). Pantone also collaborates with brands to create unique colors. For instance, they developed the iconic Tiffany Blue for Tiffany & Co.

This isn't Pantone's first TV collaboration. In 2019, Conan O’Brien’s show launched “Team Coco Orange.” Pantone’s increasing mainstream presence is evident through its annual “Color of the Year,” branded products, and collaborations.

A Pantone color for a TV show doesn’t offer significant on-screen benefits due to screen variations. However, it’s useful for printed materials. It remains unclear if “Drew” will use “Drew Barrymore Yellow” on printed items. The color's representation varied across TV and publicity photos, potentially due to lighting and camera settings.
