ESPN is launching a new daily SportsCenter show, "SC+," on Monday, March 3, exclusively on Disney+. This fast-paced program will highlight the day's top sports moments, stories, insights, and exclusive commentary.
A key element will be the daily "SC Top 10" countdown of notable sports events. Weekdays, the show will air live at 9 a.m. ET, hosted by Gary Striewski and Randy Scott, who also anchor ESPN’s 7 a.m. SportsCenter. Hannah Storm and Jay Harris will host on weekends, following their SportsCenter:AM program. Each episode will be available on demand for 24 hours.
This expansion of the SportsCenter brand, which debuted with ESPN in 1979, signifies a significant step. Mike Foss, ESPN's senior vice president of studio and entertainment, stated, "It’s an absolute honor to take one of ESPN’s most prestigious and historic brands in SportsCenter and infuse it with the energy and creativity afforded by Disney+."
Alisa Bowen, president of Disney+, added that SC+ will provide Disney+ subscribers with daily access to sports news, moments, and stories. Disney+ standalone subscribers will continue accessing select ESPN+ and Hulu content, including live sports and studio shows. Bundle subscribers (Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+) gain access to the full ESPN+ content library, encompassing over 30,000 live sports events annually.
