Entering keys into the receiver can lead to unforeseen consequences.

If you edit the receiver's system data yourself, you may reset its software settings.
If you fail to enter Biss keys or another coding system, we recommend that you contact specialists for proper setup or reflashing of the tuner.

This guide is suitable for entering Biss keys into Globo, Orton, Opticum satellite receivers of models X-80, X-80 RF, X-80 PVR, X-80 HDMI.

First, you need to make sure that the emulator in the receiver is active.

  1. Press the «Menu» button on the receiver's remote control
  2. Go to the «Tools» tab
  3. If there is a Biss key tab in the list, the emulator is enabled. If not, press «9999» on the remote control. A line with Biss should appear.

On older firmware, there is a simple way to enter Biss keys:

  1. On the channel you are going to open, press the «Info» button on the remote control 3 times
  2. Enter the corresponding Biss code in the window that appears
  3. Press the yellow button on the receiver's remote control. The channel should open if you entered everything correctly.

On newer firmware versions, this method no longer works. The sequence of actions is as follows:

  • First, on the desired channel, press the «Info» button on the receiver's remote control
  • In the channel information that appears, find the value of the Video PID (VPID) item
  • Find the standard Windows calculator on your computer.
  • Switch it to engineering mode (for example, in Windows XP in the calculator, the tab «View» => «Engineering», for Seven - «Programmer»).
  • Make the «Dec» button active.
  • Enter the «Video PID» value of the channel into the calculator window.
  • Switch from «Dec» to «Hex».
  • Remember the value received in the calculator window.

  1. Press the «Menu» button on the receiver's remote control
  2. Go to the «Information» tab
  3. Select the line «Change CAS keys» in the list, press «OK»
  4. Select the encoding «Biss» => «OK»
  5. Press «Add»
  6. Enter the ident value of this channel (ID value in the table)
  7. Enter the key twice in the corresponding fields
  8. Enter the value of «Video PID» (VPID), calculated in the calculator (described above).
  9. Save the key.
  10. Exit the menu.
  11. If everything is done correctly, enjoy watching and feel like D'Artagnan :)
