This step-by-step guide is intended for entering Biss keys into Galaxy Innovations S-8120, GI S-8120 Lite and AMIKO SHD-8900 satellite receivers.

Starting with firmware version v.1.2.31, receivers have a built-in key emulator. This allows you to quickly enter the BISS encoding key without resorting to additional plugins. In earlier versions of the software, this feature was not available, so keys had to be entered using add-ons like MgCamd or Coconut, which was difficult for the average user. Let's take a closer look at how to enter keys into the receiver's built-in emulator. Those whose tuners have an earlier firmware version are strongly advised to update the software.

  • Turn on the channel, using BISS encoding, which needs to be opened →
  • On the receiver's remote control, press the «Menu» button, then sequentially enter «9999», which will take you to the key entry menu →
  • In the top field with the name «Index», by pressing the left/right arrows on the remote control, select a key with a zero or unused value (displayed in the «Key» line). This is a very important point, because if you miss it, you can overwrite the key on another channel, as a result of which it will stop opening →
  • Go down to the very bottom line with the name «Select service» and press «OK» on the remote control →
  • From the list of channels that appears, select the one you want to open, press «OK» →
  • Go up one line with the name «Key» →
  • Enter the key that corresponds to the selected channel. Letter values are entered by pressing the remote control buttons, following the prompts at the bottom of the screen →
  • After entering the correct key value, press the «EXIT» button on the remote control 2 times to exit the Menu →
  • If everything was done correctly, the channel should open immediately.
