Entering keys into the receiver may result in unforeseen consequences.

When editing the receiver's system data yourself, you may disrupt its software settings.
If you are unable to enter Biss keys or another coding system yourself, we recommend contacting specialists for proper tuning or reflashing of the tuner.

This guide is suitable for entering Biss keys into Opticum HD, Orton HD receivers of models X406p, X405p and AX-305; Tiger models T1, T5, T55, T6, 4050/4100HD.

First, you need to make sure that the emulator in the receiver is active.

  1. Press the «F1» button on the receiver's remote control → the symbol «H» should appear on the receiver's digital display, and immediately press the numbers «000» on the remote control in sequence →
  2. The TV screen should display information that the emulator is turned on («Patch activated»).
  3. If the screen displays information that the emulator is off («Patch deactivated»), you need to repeat the steps listed in step 1.
  4. If you cannot turn on the emulator, it is possible that the receiver has a factory firmware without an emulator. In this case, the receiver needs to be reflashed with new firmware.

Quick way to enter Biss keys into X406p, X405p and  AX-305 receivers

  1. Standing on the desired channel, press the «F1» button on the receiver's remote control → after the symbol «H» appears on the receiver's digital display, press the numbers «333» on the remote control in sequence →
  2. The TV screen will display a key entry window →
  3. Press the «Green» button (Change) on the remote control →
  4. Enter the key corresponding to this channel (you can take it from the key table) →
  5. To enter letter symbols, use the left column with a set of letters. The selection of the required symbol is carried out using the «Up/Down» arrows on the remote control and is confirmed by the «OK» button on the remote control →
  6. After you have finished entering the key, you need to go down to the bottom position "OK" in the left column with a set of letters and confirm the selection by pressing the «OK» button on the remote control →
  7. If everything was entered correctly, the channel should be decoded.

If you cannot open the channel in a quick way, there is a more radical method described below.

How to enter Biss keys into X406p, X405p and  AX-305 receivers through the «Patch menu»

You can get to the key editing menu in two ways:

Method 1.

  1. By pressing the «MENU» button on the remote control, we get to the receiver menu.
  2. On the «Settings» tab, press the «OK»
  3. Go to the «Patch menu»

Method 2.

Press the «F1» button on the receiver's remote control → the symbol «H» should appear on the receiver's digital display, and immediately press the numbers «147» on the remote control in sequence.

Editing (adding) BISS keys

  1. In the key editor in the upper right corner, select the encoding «BISS» using the «Right/Left» arrows on the remote control;
  2. «Up/Down» arrows on the remote control select the line with the unused key;
  3. Press the «Red» button on the remote control → "Add";
  4. In the «Prov ID» column, enter «001FFF» by default;
  5. Leave the «Index» column as «00»;
  6. In the next column «Key» enter the key itself;
  7. To enter letter symbols, use the left column with a set of letters. The selection of the required symbol is carried out using the «Up/Down» arrows on the remote control and is confirmed by the «OK» button on the remote control;
  8. After you have finished entering the key, you need to go down to the bottom position "OK" in the left column with a set of letters and confirm the selection by pressing the «OK» button on the remote control;
  9. The next step is to link the entered key to the desired channel. To do this, standing on the line with the entered key, press the «F1» button on the remote control;
  10. Here, in the «Freq» parameter, you need to enter the frequency of the edited channel;
  11. The «SR» parameter enters the symbol rate of this frequency;
  12. In the «Pol» parameter, enter the value of the polarization «H» or «V»;
  13. And in the «SID» parameter, enter the channel ID;
  14. All values can be viewed in our table with keys;
  15. After you have finished entering, select the "OK" tab in the left column again and confirm the selection by pressing the «OK» button on the remote control.
  16. After all manipulations, exit all menus by pressing the «Exit» button on the remote control. If everything is done correctly, the channel should open.
