Netgear has expanded its M4350 series of managed switches with four new models specifically designed for broadcast and professional audiovisual (Pro AV) applications. These new switches are slated for launch at InfoComm 2025 in Orlando, Florida. The enhancements focus on speeding up deployment, bolstering network reliability, and simplifying system management.
Key improvements include integrated timing functionality crucial for SMPTE ST 2110 workflows. A visual cable identification system and a secure power connection design further enhance usability. The switches feature multicolor LED port identification, allowing technicians to easily link physical ports with assigned colors within Netgear AV OS. They also support grandmaster and boundary clock functions, acting as a timing source for broadcast systems.
A notable addition is a new power connection mechanism designed to prevent accidental disconnections. The switches also comply with the Trade Agreements Act. “These new additions to our M4350 line demonstrate NETGEAR AV’s ongoing commitment to addressing the specific needs of broadcast and pro AV professionals,” stated Laurent Masia, senior director of product line management for managed switches at Netgear. The four new models will be available in July.
Netgear will showcase these switches, along with other Pro AV products such as M4250 switches, Wi-Fi 7 access points, and the Pro Router, at booth 4401 during InfoComm. Over 150 partner booths at the show will utilize Netgear AV infrastructure.
