Telewizja Polska (TVP), Poland's public broadcaster, is expanding its streaming offerings with the launch of its first FAST (Free Ad-Supported Television) channel. This new channel will focus on the popular Polish medical drama, "For better and for worse" (Na dobre i na zle).
This marks a significant step for TVP, as it aims to cater to individual viewer preferences through content personalization. The channel will feature 500 episodes, a blend of library content and previously unseen footage. To enhance viewing experience, episodes will be organized into thematic and chronological blocks, designed to cater to different times of day. Morning programming will focus on lighter, relationship-driven episodes, while afternoons and evenings will delve into moral dilemmas and complex character choices. Weekends will showcase gripping medical cases and darker storylines.
“With the introduction of the first FAST channel on the Telewizja Polska streaming platform, we are meeting the expectations and needs of our audiences and opening a new chapter in the content personalization strategy. The dynamic thematic channel of the series “For better and for worse” is our response to the individual preferences of viewers. Thanks to this, we can provide them with constant contact with their favorite format,” says Tomasz Sygut, TVP General Director.
The channel will be accessible on the TVP VOD platform at vod.tvp.pl, the TVP VOD mobile app (iOS and Android), and most smart TVs. It will, however, only be available in Polish. TVP VOD, boasting over 86,000 video-on-demand materials, is Poland's largest VOD library.
