CosmoBlue Media, founded by Berk Uziyel and Loni Farhi, has acquired the educational content brands Azoomee and Da Vinci as part of a takeover of parent company Macademia. This acquisition follows the earlier acquisition of Sofy.tv and signals CosmoBlue’s ambition to expand its portfolio and focus on Sports, Movies/Telenovelas and Kids.

“We are thrilled to welcome Macademia, Azoomee and Da Vinci into the CosmoBlue Media family,” said Berk Uziyel and Loni Farhi in a joint statement. “This acquisition reflects our mission to provide enriching and diverse entertainment experiences across all platforms. Their exceptional lineup and strong global presence will allow us to expand our family and educational programming offering. Together, we will continue to inspire, educate, and entertain audiences across the globe in innovative and engaging ways. There will be further assets that will be added to the Cosmoblue portfolio very soon.”

The emergence of Uziyel and Farhi comes a year after the business partners left SPI following its sale to Canal+ company M7. Macademia’s Azoomee and Da Vinci brands reach over 250 million households across more than 100 countries. Its award-winning documentaries, series, and thought-reality shows make it a trusted name in family-friendly programming.
