The leading broadcaster in the Baltics will deliver its TV package in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia via the ASTRA satellite at the orbital position of 5 degrees East.
Subscribers of the paid television All Media Baltics will be able to enjoy the broadcaster’s channels in HD format, including the broadcaster’s own premium package of channels, at the position of 5 degrees East, in accordance with the announced multi-year agreement on the provision of satellite capacity.
Under the agreement, All Media Baltics will use several transponders on the ASTRA 4A satellite to deliver its 5 HD channels and a package of paid TV channels in the Baltics, which consists of entertainment, sports and movie channels.
All Media Baltics was established in October 2017 after Providence Equity Partners acquired all media assets and pay-TV companies owned by Modern Times Group in the Baltics, which already used SES services to deliver its TV package at the position of 5 degrees East. Thanks to this agreement, All Media Baltics ensures uninterrupted signal reception for its audience and uses the wide coverage of the premium orbital position of SES in Scandinavia and the Baltics. At this position in the Baltics, SES covers 1.73 million television households, which is 65% of all television households in this market.
