StarLightMedia group is reformatting the youth channel QTV into an adult entertainment channel "Oce" (meaning "That's it").
QTV channel was aimed at a teenage audience, showing mostly purchased animated content. But the "Oce" channel will be aimed at the audience 35+ and will show entertainment content produced by StarLightMedia group. In fact, it will be a channel of reruns of programs from STB, Novy channel and ICTV.
The group is abandoning the youth channel format for economic reasons. According to National Council member Valentyn Koval, a number of advertisers categorically refuse to place ads in children's blocks (and QTV was a children's channel).
The channel's programming concept: one day - one show.
According to StarLight Digital, the channel's distributor, "Oce" will replace QTV on air from September 1, 2017.
Recall that QTV channel was initially called "Kuy-TV". "Kuy-TV" launched on September 1, 2008 and was aimed at young men. In February 2010, the channel changed its logo to QTV and updated its broadcast schedule, expanding its audience. Since the beginning of 2017, QTV channel has been reformatted to children's and youth.
