Setanta Sports has started broadcasting on the Azerbaijani satellite Azerspace-1 (46°E) in the BISS encryption system. Two channels, Setanta Sport 1 and Setanta Sport 2, are available in the Azercosmos multiplex with primary coverage of Central Asian countries.
In mid-April of this year, broadcasting of the channels on the Astra 5B satellite (31.5°E) was terminated. They were encoded in the Viaccess system and available to cable operators, for example, in Belarus. However, the Belarusian government revoked the license.
Setanta Sports Eurasia, acquired by the Georgian holding company Adjara Group in 2021, is a leading sports broadcasting company in countries such as Armenia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Georgia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
