When editing the receiver's system data yourself, you may disrupt its software settings.

If you fail to enter Biss keys or another coding system, we recommend contacting specialists for proper tuning or reflashing of the tuner.

Recommendations for entering Biss keys into the «Smart Enigma X5» receiver.

  1. In this receiver, the emulator is enabled and disabled by sequentially pressing the following button combination on the remote control: Menu=>Mute=>999
  2. Select the Biss key from the table that corresponds to this channel
  3. Go to the channel that you are going to open
  4. Press the following buttons on the receiver's remote control: INFO=>0
  5. The key input field is located in the window that appears. You can enter the key only after pressing the red button on the remote control, (do not confuse the red button with the receiver power off button)
  6. Enter the required value in the key field. It should be noted that the left column of the table contains letter values. To enter a letter into the key, you should select the necessary letter by moving the cursor in the left column using the «UP» and «DOWN» arrows on the remote control. After selecting a letter, you need to press the «OK» button on the remote control. Numerical values are entered on the numerical keypad of the remote control.
  7. After entering the key, you must move the cursor in the left column to the very bottom to the «OK» position and also press the «OK» button on the remote control
  8. If the key is entered correctly, the image and sound should appear on the channel.
  9. Press the «EXIT» button to exit the key editor.
  10. Next, press the «MENU» button on the remote control. In the menu that appears, select «System settings» and go to the «Manual Key» tab. Using the «left-right» buttons on the remote control, select the «BISS» encoding among those displayed in the top field.
  11. Among other keys, find the key you just entered (usually the new key is written at the very end of the list)
  12. The key needs to be slightly edited, namely:
    • sign the key exactly as it is written in the list of channels, substituting the letter «W» or «E» at the beginning of the name (for example, for the NLO channel, write «WNLO» or «ЕNLO»)
    • change the key index to the value «00», for example:

  13. Exit the key emulator menu with saving information by pressing the «EXIT» button on the remote control.
  14. If the channel does not open, you should delete several unused keys from the «BISS» key list, as the receiver's memory is limited.
